What Is A Sundance® SmartTub® System?

The SmartTub® System is a comprehensive hot tub control system that provides you with a wealth of features to enhance your hot tub experience. The system can be controlled and monitored through a smartphone app, providing quick and easy access to various features. With SmartTub®, spa owners can do it all, from adjusting settings such as temperature and energy efficiency to receiving recommended tips and instructional videos on hot tub maintenance. In case of any issues, the app will send alerts and allow the owner to request professional service with a simple “Click for Service” feature.

How does SmartTub® Work?

The Sundance® Spas SmartTub® System leverages machine-to-machine (M2M) communication, utilizing the outdoor location of hot tubs and their direct connection to nearby cell towers. The system utilizes LTE technology, sending small data packets for remote control and monitoring of connected hot tubs. This efficient use of data makes the system highly affordable, with a yearly charge through the app starting from the second year (the first year is included in the hot tub’s purchase price). Unlike personal cellular plans, the M2M communication of the SmartTub® System does not impact your personal data usage.

With its easy-to-use interface, you can quickly adjust your hot tub’s temperature, jets, and lights. The app also allows you to lock down your hot tub to prevent unauthorized use as well as set up an automated usage schedule. In addition, the SmartTub® App integrates with Siri, Alexa, and wearables for added convenience. It also integrates with @ease®, making water care easy and simple. The app is always up-to-date and automatically updates your dealer’s notification system to keep them informed of any necessary repairs. The app also sends real-time notifications and reminders to keep you informed about the status of your hot tub. With live tracking of energy usage, you can monitor your hot tub’s energy consumption in real-time and make changes as necessary to keep your energy bills low. If your hot tub needs maintenance, the app automatically sends notifications to your dealer if it detects power outages, freezing, or overheating.

Connecting to the SmartTub® system from Sundance® Spas is a quick and easy process.

You simply download the app from the Apple Store or Google Play, register your hot tub by entering the spa serial number or using the QR code, and you’re ready to go.

How Much Does Sundance® SmartTub® Cost?

The SmartTub® Add-On costs $999 on new hot tub purchases. The SmartTub® system uses cellular-based data transfer and requires cell service from one of Sundance® Spas’ provider partners in your area. After the first year, there is a fee for the cellular service.

Is SmartTub® Available For All Sundance® Spas?

SmartTub® is available on all new 680™, 780™, 880™, and 980™ Series hot tubs. It can be added on as an aftermarket install on most 2018+ models. Contact us to verify if your hot tub is SmartTub® ready.
