Don GeboMaster Craftsman & Custom Installation Supervisor
Don Gebo joined the company in 1981, when we were operating as Great Bay Hot Tub Company in Newmarket, NH. At that time, most of the hot tubs we sold were custom-made using Western Red Cedar and Redwood. Don played a large role in the crafting of these hot tubs, which their owners considered true works of art. When hot tubs started to be mass-produced as self-contained, portable spas, Don transitioned into supervising our hot tub delivery team. Today, Don serves as our Master Craftsman and Custom Installation Supervisor, leading the window and door installation team for our sister company, Selectwood. Don currently resides in Newfields, NH, with his wife Patty. As their two sons were growing up, Don spent several years coaching their ice hockey teams. And while both boys are now grown and out of the house, Don still loves hockey and plays in an adult league in Exeter. He is also an avid golfer and enjoys getting out whenever he has the chance.

He enjoys handcrafting collectibles out of various species of wood, as well as working with Maryann in their vegetable gardens.
During the early 1970s, Peter Robart, Mark Ruddy and Dave Wason joined together in a new business venture, servicing and modifying BMW automobiles. This business is now known as Bavarian Autosport – the leader in North America for BMW parts and accessories. Also in the 1970s, the boys spent some time in the hot springs of Sun Valley, ID, where, after a long day of hard skiing, they discovered the benefits of hydrotherapy. As far as they could determine, there was no one in New England offering wood barrel hot tubs, so Great Bay Hot Tub Company was born. Selectwood followed soon after. Peter, Mark and Dave have proudly watched their companies grow from the original, 500 square foot location in Stratham, NH, to the current, 86,000 square foot facility in Portsmouth, NH. All three reside in the Seacoast area of New Hampshire with their wives. (The children are all grown!) When they are not working, the owners enjoy spending time with their families and friends, and are extremely active, enjoying a wide range of sports that includes hockey, skiing, cycling, golf and surfing – activities they would probably not be able to do without hydrotherapy from their hot tubs.
